Sr. "Rock Star" Web Developer For U.S. Digital Marketing Agency

Gloss is a U.S. based digital marketing agency founded in 2007, and we've had a full-time Filipino staff since 2008. We are seeking a full-time, senior level "Rock Star" Web Developer with at least 5 years experience who can work from home in the Philippines. This is a dynamic and exciting position as you will lead our highly diverse development efforts in a fast-paced digital marketing environment. It is absolutely imperative that you have at least 5 years experience and meet the qualifications in this job description. We are only hiring top-notch "cream-of-the-crop" talent! JOB DESCRIPTION We have internal resources for design, copywriting and content creation, but the right candidate will be very comfortable leading the development effort and providing overall technical expertise in all phases of digital marketing, including the following:

Corporate Website: Ongoing site development and enhancement of our website

Email Marketing: Listbuilding, content creation, optimization, analytics, API development

Social Media Marketing & Promotion: Content distribution, organic traffic, paid traffic, optimization, analytics, API development

Content Marketing: Content creation, internal organization/process, distribution

Paid Advertising: Tracking, reporting, API development

JOB REQUIREMENTS We are looking for top talent, so you must have the following skill sets (specifically in a digital marketing environment):

Expert level experience implementing Wordpress plugins, CSS, themes, templates, customization and API integration

Expert level experience implementing PHP, SQL, CSS, HTML and databases

Expert level experience implementing and deploying APIs

Proven ability working with tracking systems, analytics, conversion/pixel/postback tracking, and reporting

Proven ability in researching, recommending and implementing solutions to meet project requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects (with support from our full-time Filipino Project Manager)

Your own computer and Internet connection

PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS You'll have plenty of support (e.g. tools, resources, infrastructure, assistance from our VAs and more...), but you must have the mindset that you "own" your projects. If you're the type of person who waits to be told what to do at every step throughout a project, then this position isn't right for you. You'll be provided with very clear project instructions and requirements, but you must also be able to work independently, figure things out for yourself, do your own research when necessary, and adopt an attitude of "I'm going to do whatever it takes to get the job done!"

You must have a natural curiosity and passion for learning new technology, not just for the sake of the technology itself, but in how technology can be used to maximize the potential of our digital marketing efforts.

For example, we want someone who will (proactively) drill down into all of the features and functionality of software and tools we own and (proactively) tell us, e.g. "I discovered this feature we can implement to create a better user experience (or improve conversion rate, or increase ROI, or enhance operations, etc...).
