This is a remote position.
Rockstar is seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media & Marketing Specialist to support U.S.-based businesses on a full-time remote basis. This role is built for marketing professionals who can take ownership of a brand's digital presence, from content planning and creation through scheduling, analytics, and community engagement, and who bring fresh ideas, consistent execution, and a genuine passion for storytelling.
In this role, you will manage social media platforms, create compelling content, support digital marketing campaigns, track performance, and help clients grow their visibility and reach online. Depending on the client, responsibilities may also include website updates, SEO support, email marketing, referral and community outreach, and recruitment marketing. Some clients may also request light executive or personal assistant support as a secondary function.
This is not a passive posting role. The ideal candidate is self-directed, brings ideas to the table, and takes pride in building a brand presence that actually moves the needle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Strategy & Management
Manage and grow social media profiles across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile
Develop and maintain a content calendar that ensures consistent, on-brand posting across all active channels
Direct and coordinate content collection from internal teams, staff, or multiple locations as needed
Monitor social media engagement, comments, and messages, responding or routing as appropriate
Track and report on social media performance metrics, follower growth, and engagement trends
Content Creation & Production
Create engaging visual and written content including graphics, reels, short-form videos, carousels, captions, and promotional materials
Edit video content using tools such as CapCut or similar platforms to support timely delivery
Design branded assets using Canva or equivalent design tools, maintaining visual consistency across all content
Write compelling copy for posts, newsletters, blogs, and promotional materials that reflects brand voice and values
Develop content themes and campaign ideas proactively, not just in response to direction
Digital Marketing & Website Support
Support email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp or similar tools
Assist with website content updates, blog publishing, landing pages, and job postings
Support basic SEO improvements and help monitor website analytics and traffic performance
Manage online advertising campaigns and support paid social or digital ad efforts as assigned
Monitor and support online reputation management, including Google reviews and public-facing brand presence
Brand Growth, Outreach & Community Engagement
Support campaigns designed to grow referrals, increase brand awareness, and drive new client or patient starts
Assist with outreach to referral partners, community organizations, schools, and other external stakeholders
Help plan and promote internal and external events, workshops, community activities, and organizational milestones
Create promotional materials for events, programs, and service launches
Support recruitment and employer brand marketing including job postings, team highlights, and culture-forward content
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track key performance indicators including engagement rates, reach, referral growth, website analytics, and campaign outcomes
Provide regular performance reports to leadership with clear data summaries and actionable recommendations
Analyze marketing campaign effectiveness and propose improvements based on results
Stay current on platform algorithm changes, content trends, and digital marketing best practices
Executive & Personal Assistant Support (Where Applicable)
Depending on the client, this role may include supplemental executive or personal assistant responsibilities, such as scheduling, inbox organization, task coordination, document preparation, and general administrative support, to help business owners stay focused and organized.
Requirements
Required
2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation
Proven ability to create high-quality visual and written content across multiple platforms
Proficiency with Canva or equivalent design tools: strong visual instincts are essential
Experience managing content calendars, posting schedules, and multi-platform publishing workflows
Strong written English communication skills with the ability to maintain a consistent, professional brand voice
Self-directed and proactive: able to generate ideas, manage deadlines, and execute independently
Comfortable working with leadership and internal teams to gather content, align on direction, and report on results
Reliable home office setup with a stable internet connection
Preferred
Experience supporting healthcare, wellness, therapy, or community-focused organizations
Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut or similar platforms
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar
Basic understanding of SEO principles, website content management, and analytics platforms
Experience with paid social or digital advertising campaigns
Background supporting multi-location businesses or coordinating content across multiple teams
Comfort with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
