About this role

Location: This position is remote within Colombia

Huge is looking for a Senior UI Mobile Engineer with a deep specialization in Swift to join our team in building high-impact, user-centric mobile applications. As a Senior UI Mobile Engineer, you will serve as the bridge between design, product, and mobile technology, crafting seamless, high-performance user interfaces and robust front-end architectures.

In this role, you will bring exceptional technical rigor to client projects—owning end-to-end mobile feature delivery, driving app performance, and implementing essential mobile capabilities such as push notifications, secure payment processing, and enterprise-grade mobile security. You are someone who takes pride in product craft, understands the backend integrations powering mobile APIs, and can showcase a portfolio of successfully launched applications.

A successful candidate brings 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, mastery of modern iOS UI architecture, solid secondary experience or familiarity with Kotlin (or cross-platform tools like React Native), and a hands-on understanding of cloud and CI/CD ecosystems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• UI Craft & Architecture: Partner closely with Design and Product teams to translate complex UX/UI designs into polished, responsive, and performant Swift/iOS mobile interfaces.

• Feature Execution: Drive end-to-end integration of core app capabilities, including push notification infrastructure, payment gateways/processing (e.g., Apple Pay, IAP), and advanced mobile app security protocols.

• App Lifecycle & Deployment: Own the release process and maintain build hygiene, leveraging continuous integration tools to ship updates smoothly to the Apple App Store.

• CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Design and build automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to optimize testing, build times, and deployment cadence.

• Backend Integration: Collaborate with backend teams on API design and documentation; leverage working knowledge of backend ecosystems (e.g., Node.js) to ensure efficient data orchestration and smooth mobile-to-API communication.

• Cross-Platform & Multi-Stack Collaboration: Serve as the Swift/iOS SME while collaborating across cross-functional mobile stacks (including Kotlin or React Native) to ensure alignment on shared client projects.

What We’d Like to See

• 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, with a primary focus on native Swift development.

• App Store Track Record: Demonstrated experience launching at least 2+ apps on the Apple App Store.

• Core Mobile Capabilities: Direct hands-on experience implementing push notifications, payment processing (e.g., Apple Pay, Stripe, In-App Purchases), and mobile app security best practices.

• Secondary Mobile Stack: Familiarity or hands-on experience with Kotlin (Android) or cross-platform solutions such as React Native.

• CI/CD & Automation: Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Cloud Infrastructure Awareness: Practical experience working alongside at least one major public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Backend Awareness: Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL API design, API documentation standards, and basic backend concepts (e.g., Node.js).

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset for working with client teams and cross-functional discipline leads.

• Modern UI Toolkit: Deep hands-on experience with SwiftUI (and UIKit interop where needed).

• Identity & Security: Practical experience with OAuth2/OIDC token flows, PKCE, secure credential storage (Keychain), and certificate pinning.

• Automated Testing: Demonstrated experience with XCTest and XCUITest, and familiarity with contract testing against API specifications.

• WebView & Deep Linking: Experience integrating hosted third-party flows via WKWebView (e.g., hosted payment pages) and implementing universal links / deep links.

• Accessibility: Working knowledge of mobile accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and platform accessibility tooling
