Senior SaaS Operations Engineer

About this role

The Senior SaaS Operations Engineer is responsible for the designing and building of the cloud platform that will provide visibility for use to all operations personnel.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Work with the Chief Software Architect on the strategy and design of the new Sun Nuclear Cloud platform

• Implement log collection, metrics aggregation, and related operational management tools.

• Establish dashboards for full visibility into the health and efficiency of the platform.

• Evangelize the right levels of logging to the development team and the importance of metrics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• At least 5 years of related enterprise experience and at least 2 years of experience integrating a metrics platform.

• Familiar with designing and developing with the principles of reuse, componentization, and the proper level of abstraction

• Experience operating AWS, Azure, GCP or a combination

• Possess an understanding and familiarity of the many aspects of cloud-based platforms (preferably AWS) from development to deployment to operations

• Able to manage accurate and rapid project scoping and estimating

• Able to consume large amounts of information and quickly distilling it into usable knowledge
