This is a central, high-visibility role responsible for the&nbsp;<strong>strategic vision and end-to-end roadmap</strong> of our trading functionality. We are looking for a sharp, ambitious leader with a strong foundation in fintech or financial services and the intellectual curiosity to master the complexities of trading to build the future of investment management.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you'll do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Own the <strong>strategic direction and long-term roadmap</strong> for Altruist’s trading platform, serving as a key leader in a high-visibility role that impacts every advisor on our platform</li> <li>Architect a <strong>comprehensive product strategy</strong> for trading functionality, balancing the need for rapid innovation with the extreme reliability required for financial execution</li> <li>Drive <strong>cross-functional execution</strong> across Engineering, Design, and Operations to translate complex trading workflows into seamless, high-performance advisor experiences</li> <li>Lead <strong>high-stakes technical and vendor decisions</strong>, evaluating internal builds against third-party integrations to ensure a scalable and resilient trading ecosystem</li> <li>Utilize <strong>AI-driven workflows and prototyping</strong> to accelerate the product development lifecycle and maintain a competitive edge in product management</li> <li>Serve as the <strong>primary authority on trading product health</strong>, monitoring key performance metrics and directing resources to resolve systemic bottlenecks or capitalize on market shifts</li> <li>Liaise with&nbsp;<strong>Compliance and Trading Operations</strong> to ensure all product strategies align with the rigorous demands of a regulated financial environment</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you bring</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>3 to 5+ years of product management experience</strong> from a high-caliber tech firm or fintech, where you have a proven track record of launching and scaling complex products</li> <li>Prior experience in <strong>trading or investment platforms is a significant plus</strong>; while deep expertise isn't required, familiarity with OMS/EMS workflows, order types, or market mechanics will accelerate your impact</li> <li><strong>Foundational financial acumen</strong>, including a solid grasp of investment management terms, calculations, and the operational needs of a professional broker-dealer</li> <li><strong>Deep technical literacy</strong>, enabling you to engage as a peer with engineers, challenge technical assumptions, and understand system trade-offs</li> <li><strong>Exceptional communication skills, </strong>with the ability to distill abstract strategic goals into concrete requirements and get diverse stakeholders across the company on board</li> <li><strong>Operational flexibility to support US market hours</strong>, ensuring product leadership and coverage are available during the most critical windows of the trading day</li> <li>Hybrid based in <strong>San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Dallas </strong>to maintain close proximity to our core product, engineering, and operations leadership</li> <li>Bachelor's degree required.
