<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Participate in the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions, leveraging deep proficiency in Java.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—product managers, designers, and fellow developers—to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and deliver innovative solutions.</li> <li>Contribute to the architectural design of backend applications, ensuring scalability, modularity, maintainability, and optimized performance.</li> <li>Take ownership of the complete software development lifecycle—from concept and design to development, testing, and deployment—ensuring the delivery of high-quality software within established timelines.</li> <li>Build robust APIs, microservices, and server-side logic using Java and Spring Boot, following best practices and coding standards.</li> <li>Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and system stability.</li> <li>Ensure security and compliance of software applications by adhering to industry standards and established security protocols.</li> <li>Participate actively in Agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing to efficient and transparent team collaboration.</li> <li>Create and maintain technical documentation for system architecture, design decisions, APIs, and code to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Need to Know / Need to Be</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with strong proficiency in Java, including core concepts, advanced features, and best development practices.</li> <li>Hands-on expertise in backend development using Java/Spring Boot, including API development, microservices, and server-side architecture.</li> <li>Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.</li> <li>Proficiency with Git for version control, branching strategies, and collaborative development.</li> <li>Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit for ensuring high code quality.</li> <li>Ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation for code, APIs, and development processes.</li> <li>Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments, along with basic system administration skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork with cross-functional stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Good to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).</li> <li>Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.</li> <li>Background in fintech product development or knowledge of financial services technologies.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p><strong>About Encora</strong></p> <p>Encora is a global company that offers Software and Digital Engineering solutions.
