If you're passionate about making a difference and believe in the power of technology to transform lives, you’ll feel right at home here.</p></div><div> <p>Career Team is looking to hire an Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Advisor who will perform professional work providing career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants in the Adult or Dislocated Worker Program. This Career Advisor plays a key role in our participants’ success as they seek employment, training, and education.</p> <p><strong><u>Your Impact on Career Team’s Success</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide information and case management services to community members interested in WIOA services</li> <li>Assess job seekers' employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods</li> <li>Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners and resources</li> <li>Enter data into Work In Texas and process clients through any participant information system as required</li> <li>Guide job seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific occupational goals</li> <li>Stay on top of labor market trends and best practices in career and training paths</li> <li>Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services</li> <li>Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities</li> <li>Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients</li> <li>Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation</li> <li>Maintain accurate individual case files in Work In Texas for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements</li> <li>Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff-related events as required including but not limited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision</li> <li>Complete all required reports within the data management system</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources</li> <li>Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions</li> <li>Must be computer literate and have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems</li> <li>Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive</li> <li>Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals</li> <li>Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required</li> <li>Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements</li> <li>A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality</li> <li>Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure</li> <li>A Valid Driver’s License</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Additional Skills/Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bilingual or Multilingual</li> <li>Strong multitasking abilities and proactive approach to tasks</li> <li>Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence-based practice, and/or whole family services</li> </ul> <p><strong>Employment Type:&nbsp;</strong>Full-Time, Non-Exempt Employee</p> <p><strong>Job Site:</strong>&nbsp;Onsite&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary</strong>: $45,000 - $55,000/yr</p> <p><strong>Travel</strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong>15% travel within the region</p> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Career Team:</strong><br>Founded in 1996, Career Team, LLC is a private workforce development organization.</p> <p>Career Team’s outstanding record of <strong><em>accelerating the human condition&nbsp;</em></strong>has resulted in numerous honors:</p> <ul> <li>Named by Inc.
