Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in California and have at least 1 year of workers' compensation defense experience. Candidates with 3+ years of defense experience are strongly preferred.

Job Description

Represent employers, insurers, and related clients in workers' compensation defense matters.

Independently manage a caseload from assignment through resolution.

Handle depositions, hearings, negotiations, and settlement conferences.

Evaluate claims, analyze exposure, and develop practical litigation strategies.

Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status and recommendations.

Prepare pleadings, motions, legal research, and other litigation documents.

Collaborate with experienced attorneys to achieve efficient, favorable outcomes.

Utilize a fully paperless, technology-driven practice to manage cases remotely.

Qualifications

Active California Bar license.

1+ year of workers' compensation defense experience.

3+ years of workers' compensation defense experience preferred.

Ability to independently manage litigation files.

Strong legal writing, negotiation, and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
