For our client, an international company specialized in the management, maintenance and rental of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the aviation industry, we are looking for a motivated Welder / Mechanical Assembler.
As a Welder / Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for carrying out welding and metal fabrication work, as well as repairing mechanical components of non-motorized Ground Support Equipment (GSE). You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

* Perform welding work using MIG, TIG, stick (electrode) welding and other welding techniques on GSE equipment.

* Repair cracks, reinforce structures and manufacture custom metal components.

* Assemble and install mechanical parts and components.

* Install, adjust and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

* Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.

* Carry out inspections and preventive maintenance on welded structures and mechanical components.

* Repair and maintain locks, locking mechanisms and other mechanical systems.

* Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and provide technical support to colleagues when required.

* Properly use and maintain welding equipment, tools and workshop machinery.

* Comply with all health, safety and quality procedures.

* Record completed work, repairs and material usage accurately.

Work closely with colleagues from the mechanical, electrical and workshop departments to ensure efficient maintenance and repair operations.
