Boiler Tube Company of America (BTA) is looking for a Welder-2 to join our dedicated fabrication team. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced welding operations on boiler components including tubes, headers, waterwalls, superheaters, and economizers. Interpret complex blueprints, welding procedures, and material specifications to execute precise welds. Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and ASME welding codes. Inspect and verify weld quality using visual and other non-destructive testing methods. Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project specifications and timelines are met. Train and mentor junior welders as needed to maintain high craftsmanship standards. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; advanced welding certifications preferred. Significant welding experience in boiler or heavy industrial applications. Deep knowledge of ASME codes and welding procedures relevant to pressure parts fabrication. Strong ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical documents. Proven track record of performing high-quality welds with minimal supervision. Excellent problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset. Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime to meet critical deadlines.
