Job Summary
The Vice President, Finance Transformation is a strategic executive leader responsible for driving the modernization and optimization of the Finance organization. This role leads a centralized team of transformation experts charged with designing and executing enterprise-wide finance initiatives that improve operating effectiveness, organizational scalability, processes, systems, data, and ways of working.
The Vice President, Finance Transformation serves as a key advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team, translating strategic priorities into actionable transformation programs. This leader will oversee initiatives including organizational design, location and workforce strategy, shared services optimization, technology enablement, automation, artificial intelligence adoption, process excellence, governance, and change management to build a world-class Finance function.
Responsibilities
Finance Transformation Strategy
• Develop and lead the multi-year Finance Transformation roadmap aligned to business and Finance objectives
• Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, agility, and decision-making capabilities
• Establish transformation priorities, business cases, milestones, and success metrics
• Drive cross-functional alignment and executive sponsorship for major transformation initiatives
Organizational and Operating Model Excellence
• Lead Finance organizational redesign efforts, including workforce planning, role optimization, and operating model evolution
• Develop global location strategies, including shared services, centers of excellence, and hub-based delivery models, and oversee execution
• Evaluate and implement organizational structures that improve efficiency and talent utilization
• Ensure Finance capabilities are aligned with future business needs
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
• Champion process standardization and simplification across all Finance functios
• Implement best-in-class operating practices and continuous improvement methodologies
• Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, improve controls, and enhance service delivery
• Establish governance models that drive accountability and measurable outcomes
Technology and Digital Transformation
• Partner with Finance Systems, Information Technology, and business stakeholders to develop and manage a multi-year roadmap to modernize Finance technology platforms
• Oversee implementation and optimization of planning, reporting, consolidation, enterprise resource planning, automation, and analytics tools
• Lead adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data automation, and advanced analytics capabilities
• Ensure Finance technology investments deliver measurable business value
Program Management and Change Leadership
• Build and lead a high-performing transformation office responsible for delivering strategic initiatives
• Establish rigorous program management disciplines, including prioritization, governance, risk management, and benefits tracking
• Lead organization-wide change management efforts supporting transformation adoption
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Management
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance executives and key business partners
• Coordinate transformation efforts across Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, and Corporate Functions
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding transformation progress, risks, and outcomes
Qualifications
Required Experience
• Proven years of progressive experience in Finance, Consulting, Business Transformation, or Operational Excellence roles
• Proven years leading large-scale transformation initiatives within complex organizations
• Demonstrated success driving Finance operating model, process, and technology transformations
• Experience leading enterprise programs involving multiple stakeholders and executive-level sponsors
• Strong people leadership experience, including building and developing high-performing teams
Preferred Experience
• Background in management consulting, corporate transformation, or finance strategy
• Experience with enterprise resource planning, planning, and finance technology implementations
• Experience developing global location and shared services strategies
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced business credential preferred
