Virtual Paralegal

About this role

$26 per hour | 20+ hours/week | 100% Remote (U.S.) Are you an experienced paralegal who enjoys managing cases, solving problems, and keeping attorneys one step ahead? Equivity is hiring a Remote Paralegal to support established law firms across a variety of practice areas. If you're organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple matters in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do Manage cases from intake through resolution

Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents

Prepare and e-file court documents

Conduct legal and factual research

Coordinate discovery and trial preparation

Track deadlines, hearings, and case calendars

Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Keep cases moving by anticipating attorney needs

What We're Looking For Must-Haves 3+ years of recent paralegal experience in a U.S. law firm

Experience supporting at least two practice areas (Litigation, Criminal, Estate Planning, Probate, Family Law, Immigration, Bankruptcy, Corporate, Employment, Personal Injury, or similar)

Bachelor's degree

Strong legal writing, drafting, and proofreading skills

Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a remote environment

Availability for at least 20 hours per week

Technical Skills Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Adobe Acrobat

Electronic court filing (state and/or federal)

Legal research experience

Experience using legal case management software

Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home office

Windows-based computer preferred

Nice to Have Experience with Clio Manage or similar practice management software

Trial preparation experience

Federal court filing experience (CM/ECF)

Experience supporting multiple attorneys

Experience working remotely for a law firm
