About this role
We’re Heidi.
We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. In just 18 months, our clinical AI products have absorbed the administrative chaos of 73 million patient visits. Today, we support over 2.5 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries.
Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world’s healthcare capacity and strengthen the human connection at its heart.
We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again.
If you don’t choose easy and you want to build something way bigger than yourself then, choose the challenge, choose Heidi.
The role
We're looking for a video editor with motion design skills, a sharp creative eye and a real instinct for paid social.
This is a hands-on, Meta-first role where you'll make a lot of work and see what actually resonates. You'll cut short-form ads, turn creator and UGC footage into fresh ideas, build scroll-stopping hooks, and find new ways to turn one strong asset into multiple, meaningfully different executions.
You'll understand how Meta's Andromeda system has changed the role of creative. We're not interested in endless 1% tweaks that the algorithm sees as essentially the same ad. You'll experiment across hooks, stories, formats, pacing and visual treatments to create genuine creative diversity, giving Meta more distinct signals to match the right creative with the right person.
The pace is high, but that's part of what makes the role exciting. You'll have the freedom to experiment, test ideas quickly and see the results of your work in the real world. You'll work closely with the people spending the budget, so you'll know what earned attention, drove action and scaled, then use those learnings to make the next round even stronger.
You'll also have plenty of room to shape the creative. We want someone who brings references, spots opportunities and has ideas of their own, not someone who's simply waiting for the next brief.
Reporting into the Senior Creative Strategist, this is a great role for someone who loves making impactful creative, wants to get even better at performance creative, and likes seeing their ideas out in the world.
What you’ll do
- Own the edit, end to end
Take an idea from raw footage through to something ready to put spend behind. You'll own the cut, sound design, colour, captions and motion, bringing everything together into polished, platform-native creative.
- Turn raw footage into creative people want to watch
Creator and UGC footage can be long, messy and unstructured. You'll find the moments worth watching and build around them, turning a single shoot into multiple distinct ads with different hooks, stories and angles.
- Build hooks that earn the next three seconds
Opening frames, on-screen text, pacing and sound all matter. You'll experiment with ways to stop the scroll, create curiosity and bring Heidi naturally into the story without losing the viewer.
- Create meaningful diversity for Meta
You'll understand how Andromeda influences creative delivery and why five slightly different edits aren't five meaningful tests. You'll create distinct executions across hooks, narratives, formats, pacing and visual treatments, giving the algorithm more to learn from and optimise against.
- Use performance to make better creative
You'll work closely with creative strategists and performance marketers to understand what's spending, what's scaling and what's getting scrolled past. You'll use those insights to decide what to push further, what to change and what to try next.
- Bring your own ideas
Bring references. Pitch formats. Challenge a brief if you think there's a stronger way in. Spot an emerging trend and figure out how Heidi could make it our own. You're joining as an editor, but we want your creative thinking too.
- Experiment with smarter ways to create
Templates, presets, AI tools and new editing workflows. We're open to anything that removes repetitive work and gives you more time to focus on the creative. Find something that works and share it with the team.
- Make the work land in every market
We run creative across 10+ markets, and a hook that performs in Australia can fall flat in Germany. You'll partner with our localisation team to understand what differs between them, from language and health systems to what reads as credible, then adapt the edit, text and pacing so each version feels made for the market where it runs.
What you'll need
- 3–5 years of editing experience, whether in-house, agency or freelance, with a reel that shows range, strong craft and an instinct for creative that gets attention
- Strong editing and motion fundamentals. You understand pacing, storytelling, sound, type, transitions and animation, and can bring product UI to life when needed
- Meta and Andromeda literate. You understand how Meta's creative delivery has evolved, why creative diversity matters, and how to turn one idea or piece of footage into meaningfully different executions rather than minor edits
- Performance-minded. You care whether your work actually worked and can use performance data to understand what's resonating, what to iterate and where there's an opportunity to scale
- Platform native. You spend time in the feeds and instinctively understand the difference between something made for social and something simply placed there
- Creative and full of ideas. You notice interesting hooks, formats, editing styles and trends and naturally think about how Heidi could make them our own
