C3 AI is hiring a Vice President of Marketing to lead the next chapter of our global marketing function. As we enter the next phase of growth driven by Generative and Agentic AI, marketing needs to move faster and deliver more - sharper positioning, a stronger pipeline engine, and clearer impact against the urgency of the Enterprise AI moment. We are looking for an operator who can quickly get up to speed, raise the bar on execution, and start producing measurable pipeline and brand impact quickly.

Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will own day-to-day execution across brand, demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), field marketing, partner marketing, and developer relations, and will partner closely with the Products org on positioning, messaging, and launches. This is a hands-on, in-office leadership role for a builder who leads from the front.

You will be a strategic partner to Sales, Product, and the Executive Leadership Team, translating C3 AI’s industrial-grade, secure, hallucination-free Enterprise AI platform into narratives that resonate with the C-Suite of the Global 2000 and convert into measurable pipeline.

Responsibilities

• In the first 90 days, identify and recruit for critical roles, audit programs, tooling, and spend, and put a clear plan in place to re-focus marketing around pipeline and brand fundamentals.

• Rebuild and run a data-driven demand generation engine with clear accountability for MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and CAC.

• Own and execute Account-Based Marketing programs targeting Fortune 500 and Global 2000 decision-makers in Defense, Energy, Manufacturing, Financial Services, and Government.

• Sharpen positioning and messaging for C3 Generative AI and Agentic AI, clearly differentiating C3 AI from hyperscalers and generic LLM providers on security, reliability, and data governance.

• Partner closely with Product Marketing to translate deep technical capabilities (C3 Type System, Model-Driven Architecture) into clear, quantifiable business value and go-to-market narratives.

• Drive thought leadership and PR that positions C3 AI as the credible, enterprise-grade choice for mission-critical AI adoption.

• Orchestrate high-impact product launches and major events (including C3 Transform) that showcase customer outcomes and technical differentiation.

• Partner closely with Global Sales leadership to align marketing KPIs with revenue targets and equip our sellers with competitive intelligence and sales enablement assets.

• Activate co-marketing motions with strategic partners (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to drive co-sell and marketplace consumption.

• Expand the C3 AI developer community through targeted technical content and developer relations.

• Lead, develop, and retain the existing marketing team; raise the bar on analytical rigor and creative output, and make targeted hires to strengthen the bench where needed.

• Own the global marketing budget with a relentless focus on ROI, attribution, and reallocation toward what is working.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in B2B Enterprise Software or AI, including a VP-level role at a high-growth SaaS, AI, or public technology company.
