Prioritizing innovation and client-focused solutions, we assist major agencies in addressing intricate issues and ensuring a more secure future.</div> </div></div><p>AGE Solutions is seeking an experienced <strong>Telecommunications Design Drafter</strong> to support a telecommunications infrastructure refresh for a federal customer in Washington, DC. This effort will support the modernization of enterprise voice, data, and telecommunications infrastructure across a secure, multi-building government environment.</p> <p>The Telecommunications Design Drafter will develop and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio, document existing telecommunications infrastructure, translate field-collected survey data into accurate engineering drawings, and support the development of telecommunications infrastructure designs based on legacy conditions, project requirements, and engineering direction.</p> <p>Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Washington, DC to work onsite full time or be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop, update, and maintain telecommunications drawings and design packages using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.</li> <li>Create and revise floor plans, telecommunications layouts, pathway drawings, conduit plans, rack elevations, cable routing diagrams, network diagrams, and infrastructure details.</li> <li>Translate field notes, survey forms, sketches, redlines, photographs, pathway data, cable route information, telecom room documentation, and legacy records into accurate AutoCAD and Visio drawings.</li> <li>Document existing infrastructure including building entrances, MDFs, IDFs, backbone routes, risers, cable pathways, rack layouts, patch fields, OSP routes, OSP-to-ISP transitions, and known constraints.</li> <li>Support the development of proposed telecommunications infrastructure designs for fiber backbone, copper cabling, telecommunications pathways, MDF/IDF layouts, rack elevations, cable routing, and equipment placement.</li> <li>Produce detailed as-built drawings and construction-ready documentation supporting implementation activities.</li> <li>Read and interpret architectural, engineering, and telecommunications drawings to ensure design accuracy and consistency.</li> <li>Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to resolve missing, conflicting, or incomplete survey information.</li> <li>Incorporate field redlines, engineering comments, QA/QC comments, and customer review feedback into controlled drawing packages.</li> <li>Maintain drawing version control, file naming standards, revision histories, and document management processes.</li> <li>Identify pathway limitations, rack-space constraints, cable management concerns, incomplete documentation, and other issues affecting proposed designs.</li> <li>Support preparation of survey packages, engineering drawing sets, implementation work packages, and final turnover documentation.</li> <li>Ensure all AutoCAD and Visio deliverables meet project standards, customer requirements, engineering specifications, and quality expectations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Active Top Secret clearance.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, including development and modification of telecommunications, infrastructure, and construction drawings.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including telecommunications diagrams, rack elevations, network diagrams, pathway layouts, and floor plan overlays.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for schedules, document control, and tracking.</li> <li>Experience creating and maintaining technical drawings for telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, network infrastructure, facilities, or engineering projects.</li> <li>Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure design, structured cabling documentation, OSP/ISP planning, network modernization, or facilities modernization projects.</li> <li>Ability to interpret and update architectural floor plans, telecom drawings, engineering markups, field sketches, and redline documentation.</li> <li>Experience producing accurate as-built documentation and construction drawing packages.</li> <li>Familiarity with MDFs, IDFs, telecommunications rooms, racks, patch panels, fiber shelves, copper patch panels, backbone cabling, horizontal cabling, cable tray, ladder rack, conduit, sleeves, pathways, risers, building entrances, and OSP/ISP transitions.</li> <li>Knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optics, copper cabling, cable routing, labeling, patching, rack elevations, and telecommunications infrastructure design.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage drawing revisions across multiple buildings, floors, telecom rooms, and project phases.</li> <li>Ability to work onsite full time in Washington, DC.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting…
