About this role

Opportunity

Our Development team is growing, and we’re looking for a Technical Lead (CRM Experience) who is driven by end-to-end ownership and the opportunity to build both core CRM apps and reusable components like Kanban boards and timelines. In this role, you’ll ship code daily and see the direct impact of your work on our customers by driving architectural excellence and ensuring high-quality software delivery across the full lifecycle.

You’ll play a key role as we continue to evolve and scale our no-code platform and expand our AI-driven capabilities, helping build tools that enable small businesses to move faster and work smarter.

CRM Experience Team:

CRM Experience owns the end-to-end development of Method’s core CRM suite, including Customers & Leads, Opportunities, Activities, Email, Cases, Work Orders, Scheduling, Proposals, and related workflows.

Our ownership spans the customer-facing frontend, backend runtime and services, and the configurable stock apps customers receive out of the box. We build new apps, deliver customer-facing features, and create reusable platform components—such as Kanban boards, timelines, grids, and workflow capabilities—that expand what customers can accomplish and customize in Method.

We operate with a continuous-delivery mindset, shipping improvements and features frequently while maintaining the reliability, performance, and quality expected of a business-critical CRM. Our goal is to help customers succeed quickly, grow their use of Method, and adapt the platform as their businesses evolve.

About Method

Method is on a mission to transform how small businesses operate by giving them real control over their customer workflows. Our flagship product, Method CRM is purpose-built for small businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and generic tools. With deep QuickBooks integration and a powerful no-code customization engine, Method enables users to design workflows that truly fit their unique needs. As a scaling growth company, we’re now taking that mission further, leveraging AI to develop intelligent agents that assist users in rapidly building and customizing no-code apps. This innovation is at the heart of our next chapter, and we’re looking for people who are excited to build the future of work!

The Role

As a Technical Lead for CRM Experience, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across the full stack of Method’s CRM suite. You will lead the delivery of new apps, reusable components, customer-facing features, and the runtime capabilities that power them. You will help the team move quickly from idea to production—shaping architecture, breaking down complex initiatives, maintaining a high standard for testing and observability, and enabling developers to ship valuable improvements continuously. Your work will span React experiences, configurable stock apps, C#/.NET services, data and messaging systems, integrations, and the extensibility foundations behind Method’s no-code platform.

Technical & Delivery Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and delivery of new CRM apps, cross-app workflows, and reusable components such as Kanban boards, timelines, grids, and data-driven views.

- Own initiatives end to end—from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, rollout, measurement, and iteration.

- Help the team ship small, safe improvements frequently through strong automated testing, observability, feature controls, and release practices.

- Build platform capabilities that can be reused across Method’s stock apps and extended through customer customization.

- Balance rapid feature delivery with thoughtful modernization of the frontend, backend runtime, and no-code foundations.

- Partner with Product, Design, and QA to turn customer problems into coherent experiences rather than isolated features.

- Lead technical discussions within your team and across cross functional meetings, fostering collaboration and innovation.

- Drive project execution. Lead the technical breakdown, estimation, and planning of large features, collaborating closely with Product Managers and QA.

- Design, build, and optimize core platform systems, including the Business Rules Engine and Data Access Layer, to support complex no code business logic.

- Architect and implement event driven architecture patterns, ensuring reliable and scalable asynchronous communication across the platform using messaging systems such as SQS.

- Lead technical integrations with complex third party APIs to extend platform capabilities and support customer use cases.

- Own the technical implementation of advanced product logic, including areas such as multi warehouse and inventory management systems.

- Work hands on with tools in AWS, SQS, C#, SQL, .NET, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and React where needed.

- Make data informed decisions based on system performance metrics, user analytics, and customer feedback.

- Design and ensure robust, scalable, and observable architecture for critical backend and platform functionalities.

- Identify and implement areas of improvement within the SDLC, including pipelines, testing, monitoring, performance, and system reliability.

- Provide technical oversight through rigorous code reviews, technical mentorship, and strategic guidance, leveraging AI assisted tools where applicable.

- Represent your team's technical roadmap and platform initiatives in department wide meetings, presenting updates and addressing architectural concerns.

Team Mentorship & Hiring Contributions:

- Provide coaching and technical guidance to developers on complex problem-solving, design patterns, and platform best practices to support their growth as engineers.

- Participate in technical interviews to assess candidates' technical skills and contribute to the overall hiring recommendation.

- Collaborate with QA, PMs, and other cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and project interdependencies.
