Leadership & experience: 15+ years in critical power system design and electrical distribution engineering (advanced degree strongly preferred).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification
Minimum of 10 years of related experience in the data center business across core domains of whitespace, cooling, power, fiber, controls, and rack systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in engineering or technical discipline
Skills:
Has led multiple complex programs delivering medium- and low-voltage power architectures for large data centers or similar mission-critical facilities, spanning from medium-voltage (e.g. 15–35 kV) substation design to high-current low-voltage and ~1500 V direct-current systems. Experience includes end-to-end oversight from conceptual architecture through deployment, with a record of on-time, reliable power system commissioning at multi-megawatt scale.
Technical expertise: Expert in power conversion architectures for data centers, including MV AC distribution, LV AC, and high-voltage DC networks. Mastery of protective coordination, converter and switchgear integration, busway and panelboard systems, large-scale UPS and energy storage, and DC power protection schemes. Keeps abreast of emerging 380 → 800 V DC standards and cutting-edge power electronics (e.g. new 800 VDC components) and is a recognized innovator (patents or contributions to industry standards such as OCP open DC architectures or IEC committees on data center power).
Systems & architecture skills: Thinks at system level beyond the white space – ensures the IT Module design aligns with upstream power (Block 2) and facility cooling systems (Block 4) for a cohesive data center architecture. Provides direction across multiple product and engineering teams (racks, busbars, cooling, monitoring, etc.) to develop standardized, integrated solutions. Mentors multi-disciplinary engineers and…
