System engineer

For our client based in the port of Antwerp, we are looking for a System Engineer with some experience. This position is a creation of a new post, and you will part of a team of 5 people including you.

You will take part in IT infrastructure projects, monitor the status of servers and take necessary measures and also do 2nd & 3rd line support.

You are a real team player and are eager to learn new technologies and adapt in a rapidly evolving IT world.

You are physically part of the Information Systems team.

* You manage virtual servers, NAS systems, backup systems, VOIP systems, firewalls, network switches, etc.,
* You participate in 2nd and 3rd line support for internal staff,
* You perform project work within the IT infrastructure,
* You maintain servers and suggest improvements,
* You deploy security patches, you follow up incidents,
* You work according to the ICT policies and working methods,
* You participate in internal meetings and safety meetings.
