About this role
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing advice or technical expertise on regulatory matters; contributing to the development of environmental policy and rulemaking through research and analysis; and coaching, leading, or mentoring others. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership and oversight of regulatory development; advising senior career leadership on national environmental policy and rulemaking; and coaching, leading, or mentoring others. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Organizational Awareness* Policy Planning and Execution* (assessed at GS-14 only) Partnering Political Savvy Personnel and Human Resources Supervisory and Leadership Judgment* (assessed at GS-14 only) Administration and Management Financial Management and Analysis Organizational Development Leadership* (assessed at GS-15 only) Manages and Organizes Information Coaching and Developing Others Budget and Cost Management Critical Thinking* (assessed at GS-15 only) Managing Employees Performance Measurement *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
