We strive to build a strong sense of belonging and empower students to reach their full potential.</p> <h2><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></h2> <p>The Campus Nurse will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of ALU students. This role involves managing and providing primary healthcare services and collaborating with the Student Life team to create a healthy and safe campus environment. The Campus Nurse will be a compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare professional dedicated to supporting our diverse student population's physical and mental health needs.</p> <p><strong>ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><em>Provide Primary Healthcare Services:</em></p> <ul> <li>Assess and treat students with various illnesses and injuries, including common colds, flu, minor wounds, and allergies.</li> <li>Administer medications and vaccinations as needed.</li> <li>Provide health education and counseling on topics such as sexual health, nutrition, stress management, and disease prevention.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all student visits.</li> </ul> <p><em>Manage the Campus Health Office:</em></p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily operations of the campus wellness office, located within the shared wellness center, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for students.</li> <li>Maintain an efficient and confidential system for managing student health records and appointments within the shared space.</li> <li>Coordinate with the wellness center staff to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient use of shared resources and facilities.</li> <li>Manage medical supplies and equipment within the designated office space, ensuring adequate stock and proper maintenance.</li> <li>Develop and implement health and safety protocols for the campus community in collaboration with the wellness center staff.</li> <li>Advocate for student needs and perspectives within the shared wellness center environment, ensuring their access to comprehensive care.</li> </ul> <p><em>Health Promotion and Education:</em></p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver health promotion programs and workshops on topics relevant to student needs, such as stress management, healthy eating, and disease prevention.</li> <li>Create health education materials and resources for distribution to the student body.</li> <li>Organize health awareness campaigns and events to promote a culture of wellness on campus.</li> </ul> <p><em>Emergency Response:</em></p> <ul> <li>Respond to medical emergencies on campus, providing first aid and coordinating with emergency medical services as needed.</li> <li>Develop and implement emergency response protocols for various scenarios.</li> <li>Train staff and students on basic first aid and emergency procedures.</li> </ul> <p><em>Collaboration and Support:</em></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Student Life team to address student health and well-being concerns.</li> <li>Provide consultation and support to residential life staff on managing student health issues.</li> <li>Work with the counseling team to provide integrated care for students with mental health…
