Storage Platform Engineer

About this role

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure across production, DR, and non-production environments.

• Perform storage provisioning, capacity management, performance tuning, replication management, and lifecycle planning.

• Lead storage hardware and software upgrades, firmware updates, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.

• Manage SAN environments, storage networking, zoning, multipathing, and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Support business-critical insurance applications requiring high availability and stringent recovery objectives.

• Design and implement storage replication, backup integration, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

• Monitor storage utilization, performance metrics, trends, and proactively address capacity or performance risks.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, virtualization, cloud, and security teams during projects and operational activities.

• Support regulatory and audit requirements related to data retention, protection, security, and operational resilience.

• Develop and maintain storage architecture documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and technical standards.

• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and service improvement initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior infrastructure engineers.
