About this role
Location: Cardiff or Bicester (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
We are looking for an innovative and collaborative statistician to join our team at HEOR. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in generating high-quality evidence and delivering impactful analytical insights across a range of projects.
As a Statistician, you will shape study design, apply advanced statistical techniques, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver robust, meaningful analyses. You'll also contribute to developing others, share your expertise, and help continuously strengthen our analytical capability.
Leading the selection of appropriate study designs and statistical methods
Delivering complex analyses, including regression, survival (time-to-event), and indirect treatment comparisons
Drafting and reviewing key study documents (e.g. protocols, statistical analysis plans, reports)
Advising on data exploration, analytical techniques, and interpretation of results
Managing multiple projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
Collaborating closely with internal teams and clients to develop solutions and drive outcomes
Supporting proposal development and contributing to new business opportunities
Mentoring and coaching colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Contributing to scientific outputs, including reports, presentations, and publications
Maintaining and promoting best practices, processes, and quality standards
Requirements
Skills and experience
Strong statistical expertise with experience applying a range of analytical methods (e.g. regression, survival analysis, indirect comparisons)
Experience contributing to research design and statistical analysis plans
Experience working on analyses relevant to health technology assessment (HTA) and/or healthcare decision-making
Proficiency in data cleaning, processing, and statistical analysis using R
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders
