ROLE SUMMARY
As a Staff SAP FICO Business Analyst, you will lead the optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the FICO/R2R workstream, guiding global clients through complex finance transformations. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and technical system configuration to deliver scalable, high-quality financial solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Solution Design & Configuration
- Lead the design and configuration of core SAP FI/CO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
- Architect the Controlling (CO) landscape, including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA/Margin Analysis).
- Deep-dive into S/4HANA specific innovations like the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Parallel Ledgers, Document Splitting, and New Asset Accounting.
2. Record-to-Report (R2R) Process Leadership
- Own the end-to-end R2R process, including month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, and consolidations.
- Integrate FICO with other modules (MM, SD, PP, and PS) to ensure seamless data flow for the "Order-to-Cash" and "Procure-to-Pay" cycles.
- Design and implement solutions for Intercompany accounting, Group Reporting, and Foreign Currency Valuation.
3. Transformation
- Advise on best practices for Finance.
- Develop functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers for delivery.
- Maintain Master data in all areas
4. Project Delivery
- Lead SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and manage data migration/cutover strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, or MBA Finance) are highly preferred.
- Experience: * Minimum 7–10 years of SAP FICO experience.
- At least 2 full-cycle end-to-end SAP implementations preferably in S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Strong background in consulting or Big 4 environment.
- Technical Skills: * Expertise in S/4HANA Finance (Public Cloud).
- Hands-on configuration experience in GL, AP, AR, AA, and CO.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps and the "Intelligent Enterprise" concept.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent English communication (written and verbal) for executive-level presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification Public Cloud.
- Experience with Group Reporting.
- Knowledge of Treasury and Risk Management (TRM).
- Experience with niche tools like BlackLine (reconciliations) or Onesource (Tax).
- Master data maintenance for all areas.
- Workflow or roles and authorizations experience.
