For the latest news from Aurora, visit&nbsp;<a href="https://aurora.tech/" target="_blank">aurora.tech</a>&nbsp;or follow us on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/auroradriver" target="_blank">LinkedIn</a>.</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">&nbsp;</p></div><p>Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. <span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re searching for a Staff Hardware System Validation Engineer</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The team is responsible for the end-to-end validation of Autonomous Hardware that includes PCBA, modules and Integrated systems from early-stage design and bring-up to sustaining engineering and resolving field issues.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong>In this role, you will</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define, develop and execute Test methodologies for verification and validation of autonomous hardware systems and components.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with and influence key cross-functional partners, including Hardware Systems, Safety, Test organizations, Firmware and Electrical Engineering.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform requirements analysis, architecture studies and system characterization to derive clear performance metrics.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Drive cross-functional reviews and achieve consensus on key design validation decisions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Drive sustaining engineering efforts, including root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for issues found in the field.</li> <li>Support failure mode analysis and risk assessments by supplying necessary analysis and documentation.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.</li> <li>7+ years of proven experience in product development, hardware test, verification, validation of electrical and/or electro-mechanical systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Deep understanding of V&amp;V process, testing methodologies, statistical analysis, RCCA process for PCBA, module and system-level functions across Power, Thermals, Communication interfaces, Compute, Memory, Sensors.&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with system design, engineering, validation for complex electrical systems such as Autonomous, Robotics or Aviation products.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with ISO 16750-2 and/or ISO 26262 standards, automotive ethernet, CAN.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience delivering 0 to 1 products and knowledge of Product Development Process (PDP).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The base salary range for this position is </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>$154,000-$223,500 </strong>per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
