The ideal candidate is a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and collaborates well with peers, including coaching junior team members.</p> <h2><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></h2> <h3 data-start="1349" data-end="1363"><strong data-start="1349" data-end="1361">Strategy</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="1084" data-end="1150">Design scalable, maintainable, and secure service architectures.</li> <li data-start="1084" data-end="1150">Identify opportunities for platform-wide improvements, new service development, and reduction of technical debt.</li> <li data-start="1084" data-end="1150">Contribute to long-term platform vision and help shape standards for engineering excellence.</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="1618" data-end="1645"><strong data-start="1618" data-end="1643">Technical / Execution</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Build backend services using C# in a Functional Programming paradigm or TypeScript for web and background worker applications.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases; PostgreSQL expertise preferred.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Design, containerize, and deploy services with Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Build and optimize cloud infrastructure using AWS or similar platforms.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Apply security best practices across applications and infrastructure (secure coding, vulnerability assessments, secrets management).</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Ensure reliability and scalability through test automation, performance profiling, and optimization.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Integrate and manage third-party APIs with robust monitoring and management practices.</li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1496">Explore and implement AI/ML-driven features or integrations into applications.</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2251" data-end="2277"><strong data-start="2251" data-end="2275">Team / Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="2292" data-end="2413">Act as a <strong data-start="2301" data-end="2321">technical mentor</strong>, multiplying team impact by elevating skills and practices of peers and junior engineers.</li> <li data-start="2292" data-end="2413">Collaborate with Product Managers, other Staff Engineers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver platform solutions.</li> <li data-start="2292" data-end="2413">Work closely with stakeholders to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex backend issues across the stack.</li> <li data-start="2292" data-end="2413">Contribute to engineering culture by modeling ownership, accountability, and a growth mindset.</li> </ul> <h3><strong data-start="2985" data-end="3014">Research / Best Practices</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="2821" data-end="2937">Stay current on emerging technologies in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and secure software practices.</li> <li data-start="2821" data-end="2937">Share learnings and elevate engineering standards across teams.</li> <li data-start="2821"…
