You’ll be at the heart of instructional growth designing, facilitating, and sustaining meaningful professional development that translates into classroom success. You’ll be a champion of our values, not just in what you teach, but in how you lead. </p> <p><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></p> <h4><strong>Coach and Champion Great Teaching</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Visit classrooms regularly and coach teachers with timely, actionable feedback</li> <li>Guide educators in crafting standards-aligned lessons that spark deep learning</li> <li>Analyze student work with teachers to adjust instruction and deepen impact</li> <li>Support differentiation and inclusive practices to reach every learner</li> <li>Review and analyze formative and summative assessment data and evidence at the student, class, grade and school levels to inform instructional and professional development plans.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Fuel Professional Growth</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Identify learning needs and curate powerful internal and external PD experiences</li> <li>Lead data-driven conversations and planning with teachers and leadership</li> <li>Plan peer observation cycles and reflection opportunities</li> <li>Empower teacher-leaders to share their expertise and shape school-wide impact</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Be a Key Player in Our School Community</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Serve on the instructional leadership team and help to recruit, interview onboard new staff</li> <li>Support parent-teacher conferences, family engagement, and student showcases</li> <li>Pitch in during arrival, dismissal, and lunch/recess to build strong connections</li> <li>Lead or support extended learning programs like tutoring or summer school</li> <li>Review trimester report cards and specialist progress reports to ensure consistency and alignment between ratings, narrative comments, and supporting data.</li> <li>Monitor the routine updating of bulletin boards by teachers to showcase high quality student work.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Drive Curriculum Success</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Act as our resident expert on NYS Learning Standards and high-quality curricula</li> <li>Co-develop or adapt materials that ensure all students—especially multilingual learners and those with IEPs have access to rigorous instruction</li> <li>Ensure fidelity of curriculum implementation and organize needed materials</li> <li>Plan and deliver PD sessions that bring curriculum and standards to life</li> <li>Order and organize all instructional materials to ensure they are accessible and utilized with fidelity and consistency.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Experience and Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in education or a related field</li> <li>3 years of successful, high-impact classroom teaching experience</li> <li>1 year of experience in staff development, coaching, or consulting</li> <li>Deep understanding of NYS learning standards for elementary grades</li> <li>Familiarity with high-quality ELA, math, science, and social studies curricula</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace</li> <li>Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate high-impact professional development</li> <li>Strong instructional modeling skills and comfort leading adult learners</li> <li>Knowledge of adult learning theory and effective coaching practices</li> <li>Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills</li> <li>Understanding of change management, team dynamics, and group facilitation</li> <li>Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships and communicate effectively</li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a solutions-oriented, “can-do” attitude</li> <li>Collaborative leadership style with a history of influencing outcomes across teams</li> <li>Commitment to honoring and growing the strengths of our staff, students, and families</li> <li>Completion and pass pre-employment Fingerprinting and Reference check…
