Your Impact

The Axon VR team is building immersive training experiences that help officers develop greater empathy, improve decision-making under pressure, and enhance community engagement. As a Senior Software Engineer on our Engineering team, you'll design and build the infrastructure that enables every team to work faster, more predictably, and with greater confidence. You'll own critical systems that accelerate development velocity, improve code quality, and drive reliable deployments at scale. This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer who is passionate about workflow productivity, infrastructure reliability, and enabling cross-functional teams to ship world-class work.

What You'll Do

Location: This role is based out of our Seattle, WA office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Reports to: Senior QA Manager

• Design and implement internal tools, platforms, and frameworks that improve developer experience and reduce friction across the engineering organization.

• Architect and maintain CI/CD systems that automate build, test, and deployment workflows; ensure reliable execution at scale and support rapid iteration.

• Build infrastructure and tooling that supports multiple types of testing (e.g., functional, integration, performance) so teams can validate quality and performance quickly and consistently.

• Create observability and monitoring solutions that provide visibility into system health, deployment status, and pipeline performance; enable rapid identification and resolution of issues.

• Collaborate across teams to understand workflow challenges, gather requirements, and validate technical solutions.

• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and onboarding materials that enable teams to adopt and maintain internal tools effectively.

• Drive continuous improvement through user feedback, experimentation, and iterative refinement of infrastructure systems.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in software development or infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated expertise in building systems at scale.

• Deep experience building and shipping customer facing applications in Unity.

• Exceptional C#, system architecture, and class design skills

• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD systems, build automation, and deployment infrastructure.

• Strong background in observability, monitoring, and diagnostics - building systems that surface issues clearly and enable root cause analysis.

• Experience architecting and implementing testing frameworks, test execution platforms, or similar infrastructure.

• Ability to design systems with a focus on developer experience, usability, and reducing operational toil.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfort working across diverse technical teams with different needs and backgrounds.

• A strong sense of ownership; ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion.

Base Pay Range
$141,000—$225,600 USD
