Be seen, be understood, be you. </strong></div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Job Summary: </strong>We are seeking a Sr Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate highly reliable network infrastructure across both cloud and on-premises environments. This role requires strong expertise in networking, cloud architectures, and network automation. You will work as a key technical contributor within the Network Engineering team, implementing architectural designs, contributing to automation initiatives, and ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure connectivity across multiple environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Security teams to deliver robust network infrastructure.</div> <div> </div> <div> <p><strong>Technical Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments</li> <li>Implement and maintain routing architectures including BGP, OSPF, route policies, and peering strategies</li> <li>Implement and manage hybrid networking including VPNs, Direct Connect, and inter-region routing</li> <li>Manage and configure Cisco networking hardware</li> <li>Develop network automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)</li> <li>Implement network security controls including segmentation, firewall policies, and access management</li> <li>Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, and traffic analysis</li> <li>Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for network-related outages</li> <li>Manage ISP connectivity including transit providers, private circuits, and carrier relationships</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in network engineering roles</li> <li>Relevant experience or certification (e.g. CCNP or JNCIP Data centre, Enterprise or Service provider)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, routing policies, and network troubleshooting</li> <li>Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, routing, switching, and load balancing</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot layer 2 (ARP and MAC address tables as well as LACP and MC-LAG)</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot DNS problems</li> <li>Experience with common network cabling</li> <li>Kubernetes CNI (Calico, Cilium)</li> <li>Cloud & Hybrid Networking</li> <li>Experience with hybrid cloud networking including site-to-site VPNs and private connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, GCP Interconnect)</li> <li>Understanding of cloud-native networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Cloud Router)</li> <li>Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code</li> <li>Working knowledge of Terraform for network infrastructure provisioning</li> <li>Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, or similar)</li> <li>Observability & Operations</li> <li>Experience implementing network monitoring and alerting systems</li> <li>Understanding of network performance metrics and logging</li> <li>Ability to create and maintain runbooks and documentation</li> <li>Security</li> <li>Experience implementing network security controls and segmentation</li> <li>Understanding of firewall management and security policies</li> <li>Familiarity with network access control concepts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>EVPN</li> <li>Experience with IPv6 rollout</li> <li>Juniper specific knowledge and experience</li> <li>Linux CLI</li> </ul> <div><span data-teams="true">Cision is the global leader in consumer and media intelligence, engagement, and communication solutions.
