Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced healthcare analytics professional to help define, measure, and advance the value delivered through Alight's Healthcare Navigation solutions.

This role will serve as a strategic subject matter expert in healthcare claims analytics, outcomes measurement, and healthcare value assessment. Leveraging medical and pharmacy claims, eligibility, engagement, provider, and program data, this individual will enhance methodologies, benchmarks, and analytical frameworks that evaluate Navigation's impact on healthcare affordability, utilization, quality, member experience, and workforce productivity.

The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare benefits knowledge with strong analytical and consultative skills. They will analyze complex healthcare datasets, identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and product performance, establish credible measurement approaches, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders, product teams, and client-facing stakeholders.

This is not a traditional reporting or business intelligence role. Success requires expertise working directly with healthcare claims data, understanding healthcare cost and utilization drivers, and applying analytical rigor to evaluate outcomes and uncover meaningful insights. The individual will help shape the strategic direction of Navigation analytics by developing benchmarking methodologies, identifying new measurement opportunities, evaluating emerging data sources, and influencing how value is quantified and communicated across the business.

Partnering closely with product, clinical, analytics, commercial, and client leadership teams, this role will help ensure Alight's Navigation analytics remain credible, innovative, and aligned with evolving client and market needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analyses that evaluate the impact of Navigation on healthcare cost, utilization, quality, engagement, member experience, and workforce productivity.

• Evaluate Navigation performance and quantify value delivered through outcomes measurement, benchmarking, and analytical insights.

• Analyze medical, pharmacy, eligibility, engagement, provider, and program data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.

• Conduct member-level analyses involving eligibility joins, provider attribution, episode grouping, longitudinal utilization patterns, and outcome measurement.

• Identify opportunities to improve healthcare affordability, quality, engagement, and outcomes, and translate findings into executive-ready recommendations.

• Partner with product, clinical, analytics, and commercial teams to influence the strategic direction of Navigation reporting, insights, and measurement capabilities.

• Support development of client-facing proof points, benchmark studies, outcomes analyses, and thought leadership.

• Evaluate emerging measurement methodologies, market trends, and data sources that can enhance Navigation analytics and value demonstration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, health economics, statistics, healthcare analytics, public health, finance, data science, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

• 5-10 years of experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare consulting, actuarial analysis, health economics, population health, employer-sponsored healthcare, or a related field.

• Significant experience working directly with medical and pharmacy claims data, including eligibility, enrollment, provider, and member-level datasets, with strong working knowledge of healthcare coding and classification systems.

• Proven understanding of healthcare cost drivers, utilization patterns, provider performance, clinical outcomes, care gaps, and healthcare affordability.

• Experience developing methodologies, benchmarks, analytical frameworks, and measurement approaches used to evaluate healthcare programs and outcomes.

• Working knowledge of SQL and experience using analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SAS, or similar technologies.

• Proven ability to translate complex healthcare analyses into actionable business recommendations and executive-level insights.

• Experience evaluating healthcare navigation, advocacy, care management, transparency, provider steerage, or related healthcare solutions preferred.
