The position's primary responsibility will be to lead a small team to design and support mission-critical computational pipelines to analyze proprietary microscopy data, in collaboration with the larger Engineering, Research and Information Technology teams. </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About You </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">You are a software engineer at heart who enjoys discussing architecture and data design with senior peers. You actively code and collaborate while keeping team goals aligned with business objectives. </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>What You will Do </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage a small team of software engineers.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Maintain essential computational pipelines and applications for ongoing scientific research.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build reliable, flexible data processing and data storage architecture to organize biological and microscopy datasets and extract features from Eikon’s proprietary data.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work with data lakes and data pipelines to organize, clean, and serve scientific data for diverse use cases.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Define and evolve the engineering system architecture vision to support system features and user-facing capabilities.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Characterize and communicate design trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with Product and Program Management to develop high-level roadmaps for key software deliverables satisfying defined system-level business needs and user acceptance tests.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in machine learning, distributed systems, cloud technologies, and software engineering practices, and evaluate their potential impact on our internal products.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor's degree with 15 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience or a PhD with 8 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Professional experience within the biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, or scientific instrumentation industry, with exposure to research, laboratory, clinical, or scientific data environments.</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial,…
