These systems are critical to every Box customer and every Box application across Web, Mobile, Desktop, and APIs.</p> <p>As part of ISF, you will work on highly available, security-sensitive services that sit directly on Box's most critical user journeys. Your work will have <strong>company-wide impact</strong> and will be used by numerous teams across Box.</p> <h4 id="g-mqazdmm1">What You'll Do</h4> <ul> <li> <p>Design, build, deploy, and operate mission-critical services that power <strong>authentication, identity, and secure access</strong> across Box.</p> </li> <li> <p>Improve the reliability, observability, and deployment safety of critical authentication infrastructure.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with engineers, product managers, security engineers, and partner teams to deliver secure platform capabilities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in technical design and implementation of authentication and identity solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in our on-call rotation and help investigate, triage, and resolve production issues.</p> </li> </ul> <h4 id="g-mqazogi6">Who You Are</h4> <p>We are an <strong>AI-first company</strong>. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to make faster, smarter decisions and increase your impact at Box.</p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>4+ years</strong> of professional software engineering experience building <strong>backend</strong> or distributed systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong <strong>Java</strong> development skills and a track record of delivering production software.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience building and operating backend services in production environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including system design, testing, performance, scalability, and reliability.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues.</p> </li> <li> <p>Effective communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.</p> </li> </ul> <h4 id="g-mqazdmm3">Preferred Experience</h4> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in authentication, identity, authorization, or enterprise security domains.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, MFA, or related authentication technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with <strong>Kubernetes</strong> and cloud platforms such as <strong>GCP, AWS</strong>, or <strong>Azure</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with <strong>PHP, TypeScript</strong>, and <strong>React</strong> is a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prior experience working on internal platforms or systems requiring high reliability, security, and compliance.</p> </li> </ul> <h4 id="g-mqazdmm4">Methodology</h4> <ul> <li> <p>Agile management - Scrum</p> </li> <li> <p>Issue tracking tool - Jira</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge repository - GitHub Enterprise</p> </li> <li> <p>Code reviews - GitHub Enterprise</p> </li> <li> <p>Version control system -…
