Spotlight on CBP Engineering Teams: Creative Workflows The Media Production Suite (MPS) Creative Workflows team sits at the intersection of filmmaking, large‑scale distributed systems, and generative AI. We build cloud‑native pipelines that transform petabytes of raw camera footage from sets worldwide into secure, high‑quality, color/sound/framing‑accurate deliverables that creatives rely on—typically within hours of shooting (these are the “dailies”). Dailies have traditionally been managed by human operators; we’re rethinking that end‑to‑end, using automation and generative AI in every part of the workflow—from intelligent metadata extraction and quality checks to smarter routing, prioritization, and review experiences. Localization Technology The Logistics Management squad is the operational backbone of Netflix's localization platform. We own the tools, workflows, and infrastructure through which every piece of content is ordered, tracked, fulfilled, and paid for — across 2,700 weekly internal users and 180+ external vendors. Our role is to build the platform layer that makes AI-first localization possible. The 18-24 month vision is to automate 70-80% of localization workflows so that human effort shifts from execution to governance and the highest-impact decisions. We are the team that makes that shift real: every workflow we automate, every manual handoff we eliminate, and every vendor dependency we reduce is a step toward localization operating at internet speed. Critically, localization is not downstream of Netflix's content pipeline — it is inside it. Content cannot play for international audiences until it is localized. Core Catalog The Core Catalog team creates products that advance Netflix innovation and subscriber offerings. Netflix is no longer just Movies and Shows, it also offers members Games, Live streams, and ad-tier subscriptions. These new content types require large investment in how we manage our catalog and create the systems that enable our business users around the world to set up, promote, and distribute our titles across multiple platforms. Catalog Foundations & Distribution (CFD) Members of the Catalog Foundations & Distribution (CFD) team play a pivotal role in delivering new and emerging content to millions of members worldwide! We build the engine behind the Netflix catalog, ensuring that every title and piece of metadata reaches consumer-scale systems cohesively, quickly, and safely. Our work is crucial for enabling engaging canvases, personalized recommendations, and seamless discovery experiences that bring "moments of joy" to our subscribers. As Netflix ventures into exciting new content domains like Live, Games, and Sports, the CFD team is at the forefront, building the critical foundations that accelerate these emerging business…
