About this role

VirtueStaff is seeking a results-driven Technical SEO & WordPress Specialist to manage, optimize, and grow our client's web presence. In this role, you will take full ownership of on-page technical SEO, content updates, and blog publishing while ensuring our WordPress site runs smoothly. Utilizing industry-standard auditing and research platforms like Screaming Frog and SEMrush or Ahrefs, you will perform site audits, identify technical issues, optimize on-page elements, and execute content strategies that boost search engine rankings and site health.

Responsibilities Perform regular site crawls using Screaming Frog to identify and resolve technical issues, including crawl errors, broken links, canonicalization, indexing issues, and site speed optimizations Optimize meta tags, heading structures, internal linking, image alt texts, and URL structures across existing pages and new content Perform routine content updates, layout adjustments, and blog publishing directly within the WordPress backend Conduct keyword research and content gap analyses using SEMrush or Ahrefs to update, refresh, and expand existing site content and blogs for improved search rankings Requirements Hands-on experience building, editing, and updating content inside WordPress. Proficient in running audits and interpreting log/crawl data using Screaming Frog. Strong proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or equivalent enterprise SEO research and tracking platforms. Proven track record in SEO execution and WordPress website development/management.
