For the latest news from Aurora, visit&nbsp;<a href="https://aurora.tech/" target="_blank">aurora.tech</a>&nbsp;or follow us on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/auroradriver" target="_blank">LinkedIn</a>.</p> <p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">&nbsp;</p></div><p>Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. <span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re searching for a </span><strong>Senior Staff Electrical Engineer</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p> <p><strong>In this role, you will</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Join an exceptional team of electrical engineers responsible for the development of electronics for Aurora’s custom hardware</li> <li>Collaborate with numerous internal and external teams gathering requirements, defining HW architecture, modeling, and delivering electronics that achieve performance and product metrics</li> <li>Build, integrate, test, and debug electronics on the bench and in systems; leverage software tools and advanced test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)</li> <li>Partner with mechanical, operations, and validation teams to mature high quality electrical designs to manufacturing; including supporting test infrastructure development to meet product coverage and yield targets</li> <li>Leverage expertise in product development (define/build/test), and have extensive prior experience launching product</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers</li> <li>Help define and optimize processes to streamline product development</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree with a focus in electrical or computer engineering</li> <li>10+ years experience in industry developing complex electrical hardware</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers</li> <li>Experience working with Mechanical engineering team on board design and device cooling</li> <li>Expertise in system architecture, signal and power integrity design and analysis, high speed signaling, grounding, analog electronics</li> <li>High proficiency and ability to analyze systems for balancing electro-mechanical and EMI/EMC constraints</li> <li>Extensive experience with hardware productization: system, board and chip level implementation</li> <li>Strong electrical engineering fundamentals supported by the use of CAD tools to capture schematic designs, manage PCB layout, leverage Power/Signal simulation/emulation input</li> <li>Expertise with lab instruments (TDR, Oscilloscopes, Analyzers, DMMs, Power Supplies, and E-loads)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience with custom sensor development and/or network design</li> <li>Knowledge of automotive requirements, safety framework (ISO26262) and qualification processes</li> <li>Experience with both rapid prototyping and design for manufacturing</li> <li>Programming and Scripting (C++, Python or equivalent) experience</li> <li>FPGA/ASIC Design experience</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The base salary range for this position is $197,000 - $285,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
