Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><h4><strong>Senior Software Engineer - Hardware Test </strong></h4> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Test Engineer to join our rapidly-growing Software team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-level software architecture to support vehicle integration and test operations. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to create and implement successful test plans, and develop software for automated testing at both component and integrated levels. Additionally, you will refine specifications from electrical engineers to validate critical flight components, support all phases of development from proposal to successful test and flight, implement ground control and telemetry software, and contribute to the growth of our team through recruitment and hiring efforts.</span></p> <h4><strong>Role</strong></h4> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Design high-level software architecture in support of vehicle integration and test operations</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate across multiple teams to create software testing infrastructure based on testing and production needs</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with ground software and flight software teams to integrate software into test infrastructure</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Design scalable test code to be reused across multiple different testing campaigns and vehicle generations</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Refine specifications from electrical engineers to validate critical flight components</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support all phases of development from initial proposal development through successful test and flight </span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Implement ground control and telemetry software</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team</span></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bachelors, degree in CS, EE (or equivalent background knowledge)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years total of relevant experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2+ Experience with Python (or other high-level object oriented scripting language(s))</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2+ Experience with Linux and shell command line tools</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2+ Experience with version control systems (git, mercurial, svn, or others)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A passion for building things, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience reading schematics and data sheets, debugging circuits that interface with embedded software, from debugger to logic analyzer to oscilloscope</span></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Bonus</strong></h4> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with web development frameworks and databases</span></li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer: </strong></div> <div> </div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust…
