We are looking for a <strong>Senior Backend Engineer</strong> with a strong focus on service operations to maintain and optimize our large-scale distributed systems. You will ensure our backend services run reliably and efficiently through automation, monitoring, and incident management.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities </strong></h3> <ul> <li>Manage system deployment, configuration, and release pipelines</li> <li>Design and manage automated deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable releases</li> <li>Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies</li> <li>Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response when required</li> <li>Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies to improve operational workflows</li> </ul> <h3><strong>About you</strong></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">[Minimum qualifications]</span></p> <ul> <li>BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields</li> <li>3+ years of experience in backend engineering or site reliability engineering</li> <li>Familiar with Unix/Linux environments</li> <li>Scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash</li> <li>Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools</li> <li>A proactive mindset toward automation and continuous improvement and strong sense of ownership<span style="font-weight: 400;"><br></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">[Preferred qualifications]</span></p> <ul> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools</li> <li>Knowledge of performance profiling and load testing tools</li> <li>Exposure to security hardening, access control, or compliance auditing</li> </ul> <p>[Language]:<br>Proficiency in Chinese</p> <p><strong>Open to overseas candidates/Visa Support<br></strong>This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.
