At Ferryscanner, SEO plays a critical role in how travelers discover our platform, explore destinations, and plan their journeys. We are looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to drive organic growth by combining technical SEO expertise, content strategy, and a deep understanding of user intent.

As Senior SEO Specialist, you will define and execute Ferryscanner’s SEO strategy across technical SEO, content, and organic growth initiatives. You will play a key role in how travelers discover Ferryscanner across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery surfaces. Your work will directly impact organic acquisition, user experience, and business growth.

Responsibilities
Define and execute Ferryscanner’s SEO strategy to drive sustainable organic growth

Own keyword strategy, search intent analysis, and content opportunity identification across Ferryscanner's key markets

Lead technical SEO initiatives, including crawling, indexing, site architecture, redirects, and performance optimization

Collaborate closely with Content team to ensure content is optimized for search visibility and aligned with SEO best practices

Lead SEO initiatives across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery channels, ensuring that Ferryscanner content remains visible, authoritative, and competitive

Monitor and analyze website performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, and similar platforms

Identify growth opportunities through competitor analysis, content gaps, and SERP trends

Partner closely with Product and Frontend teams to embed SEO best practices into product development, site architecture, and user journeys

Track, measure, and report on SEO performance and key organic growth metrics

Stay up to date with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and evolving SEO best practices

Requirements
Qualifications, skills & knowledge
Minimum 5 years of experience in SEO, ideally within a product-led, consumer-facing, or marketplace/travel business

Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content SEO

Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.

Good understanding of website technologies and development constraints, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Content, Product, Engineering, and Marketing

Familiarity with AI-driven search experiences, answer engines, and the evolving impact of LLMs on organic discovery

Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and oral

Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools would be considered a plus
