A greenfield vertical focused on automating manual processes in music publishing operations — registrations, royalties, and performance rights management. The initial phase targets a quick win: augmenting an existing accounting team by improving how financial data is cleaned, structured, and presented to customers.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services for processing and structuring financial and rights data (compositions, writers, royalties, payments)

Build and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT (views, caching, snapshots)

Develop full-stack features with React + TypeScript on the frontend side (~30% of work)

Collaborate with the accounting team to understand data flows and translate manual processes into automated solutions

Clarify requirements independently and build proofs of concept to validate functionality

Own features end-to-end — from requirements to production — in a greenfield environment with an evolving roadmap

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

8+ years of backend development experience, Python is a must

React + TypeScript for frontend work

AWS (Lambda, S3, or similar services) + Terraform

Snowflake or comparable data warehouse experience

DBT or similar data transformation tooling

Strong understanding of data modeling and pipeline architecture

Nice-to-have

Experience in fintech, music/media, or royalties/rights management domains

Familiarity with financial data processing and reporting

Experience building in greenfield / 0-to-1 environments

Soft skills

High ownership and accountability — comfortable driving features independently

Operates well under ambiguity without a fully defined roadmap

Strong communication skills for requirements clarification and stakeholder alignment

Proactive POC mindset: demonstrates functionality early rather than waiting for perfect specs
