**Job description**
ContractsIT is looking for several experienced Senior Project Managers to join a large digital transformation programme within the Belgian federal public sector. You will lead IT and organisational projects that improve data exchange and processes between multiple government bodies. The projects run in 2027-28.
**The projects include:**

* Building new national databases and data flows between public organisations
* Optimising financial and payment processes
* Cross-border data exchange with other EU member states
* Setting up cooperation structures between federal, regional and local government

**What you will do:**

* Own the full project lifecycle, from defining the solution to implementation
* Build the project plan, roadmap, milestones and resource planning
* Manage scope, risks, change requests and acceptance
* Set up and control the project budget and report on its financial status
* Align many internal and external stakeholders who sometimes have conflicting interests
* Lead the project team and report to senior management

**MUST HAVE:**

* Native or fluent Dutch (essential)
* EU citizenship
* More than 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
* A Bachelor's degree (minimum)
* Experience with PRINCE2 and/or Agile
* Strong stakeholder management across several organisations
* Budget and risk management experience
* Available full time as a freelancer

**NICE TO HAVE:**

* Experience on public sector projects
* Good knowledge of French
* Experience with Jira and Confluence
* Experience in the financial sector (banking or a finance or tax administration)
* Experience on EU or cross-border projects
* Experience with data flow or integration projects
