GDIT is seeking aSeniorProduct Manager.

GDIT’s implementation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) emphasizes the need for compliance, and extensive traceability while providing an agile, lean systems, iterative environment for product development. On the USPS Program, this will be accomplished by implementing the SAFe for Large Solutions model. This will progress from Requirement, to Epic, to Feature, to Story, to Release.

We are seeking an experienced SAFe Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy, execution, and optimization in a scaled Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAFe methodologies, a proven ability to define product vision, manage the product lifecycle, and drive large-scale initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), leadership, and technical teams to ensure business value delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and program goals.

• Lead feature prioritization and backlog refinement for Agile Release Trains (ARTs), ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and Agile teams to translate high-level requirements into actionable features and stories.

• Own and manage the Program and ART-level backlogs, ensuring prioritization based on business value, compliance requirements, and customer needs.

• Facilitate and actively contribute to Program Increment (PI) Planning, providing clear direction on product goals and priorities.

• Continuously engage with stakeholders, customers, and end-users to validate product solutions and drive continuous improvement.

• Monitor product performance using data-driven metrics, adjusting strategy to optimize value delivery.

• Promote SAFe principles and best practices across teams, driving Agile maturity within the organization.

• Identify risks and dependencies early, proactively addressing blockers to ensure seamless product execution.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration, facilitating communication across engineering, compliance, security, and business units.

• Demonstrate expertise in VersionOne, ensuring efficient backlog management, sprint planning, and Agile execution tracking.

Minimum/General Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in product management within a scaled Agile or SAFe organization.

• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex enterprise-level solutions using SAFe.

• Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles, SAFe frameworks, and Agile best practices.

• Experience leading ARTs and working within a SAFe Large Solutions environment.

• Hands-on experience with VersionOne.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to translate business objectives into clearly defined Epics, Features, and Stories.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Preferred Requirements:

• SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (SAFe POPM) certification or equivalent.

• Certified SAFe Agilist (SA) or higher-level SAFe certification.

• Experience working in government, federal, or large-scale enterprise environments.

• Prior experience with modernizing legacy systems in a SAFe ecosystem.

• Deep knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Agile budgeting.

• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and DevSecOps practices.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

• This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
