Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).</span></p> </blockquote> <hr></div><h2><span style="color: #005cb9;">Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-growing team. </span></h2> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;">REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE</span></strong></h3> <ul> <li>Senior-engineer level experience in mechanical engineering design for electro-mechanical products, with deep understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.</li> <li>Knowledge of the mechanical considerations of PCB design and PCB packaging.</li> <li>Ability to advise RF, Microwave, Digital & Antenna engineering teams on constraints (mechanical, environmental, thermal) & work to a production solution.</li> <li>Advanced-to-expert level user of Solidworks.</li> <li>Knowledge in implementing, interpreting and explaining ASME Y14.5 GD&T.</li> <li>Knowledge in hand and computational analysis for modal, stress and thermal considerations.</li> </ul> <h3><span style="color: rgb(0, 92, 185);"><strong>DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE <br>(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)</strong> </span></h3> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Proficient experience in ANSYS/similar analysis software for thermal and structural computational analyses.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience leading the mechanical design of RF or millimeter-wave transmit/receive modules, or equivalent PWA-based transceivers, at x-band or above through qualification & product launch.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Certified in ASME Y14.5 GD&T</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Experience designing and certifying products for IP rating requirements.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Knowledge of various production processes and ability to tailor design to those processes to meet design to cost objectives.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Relationships with local fabrication shops.</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 92, 185);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Knowledge and/or experience with design approaches for RF isolation requirements.</span><br></span></li> </ul> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;">QUALIFICATIONS</span></strong></h3> <ul> <li>BS, MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with +5 years experience</li> <li>Eligible to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)</li> </ul> <blockquote> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S. </span></p> </blockquote> <hr> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">WHAT WE OFFER</span></strong></h3> <h3>This is an exempt role.</h3><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">The expected annual salary range for this role is</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$124,733</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$187,048 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>If your skills generally align but not perfectly, please apply anyway.
