SENIOR MEAT SOURCING & PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy
Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for meat, covering beef, pork, poultry, lamb and processed meat in both chilled and frozen formats.
Define the category assortment, price tiers, core SKUs and country-of-origin mix. Own the category's sales, margin and profitability targets.
Procurement & Cost Management
Lead product selection, sourcing, price benchmarking, negotiation, purchase orders, inbound and payment-term management for all meat SKUs.
Reduce costs through annual or quarterly supply agreements, price locks and volume consolidation, while keeping quality and supply consistent.
Local & International Sourcing
Use Singapore's network of importers, wholesalers, distributors, processors and cold-store operators.
Develop supply from Malaysia, China and other meat-rich countries approved to export to Singapore, such as Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, the USA, Thailand and Europe.
Pursue direct sourcing from origin where it makes sense, to cut out intermediaries and lower costs.
