<p>At Alarm.com, we're looking for a Total Rewards leader who's equal parts strategist and executor — someone who gets energized by building programs that genuinely make a difference in people's lives at work.</p> <p>As Senior Manager, Total Rewards, you'll own our compensation,&nbsp;benefits, and well-being strategy from the ground up. You'll sit at the intersection of HR, Finance, and business leadership, helping shape how we attract and keep great people. This isn't a role where you'll be maintaining the status quo — you'll be evolving it.</p> <p>You'll be based at our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA, and work closely with a collaborative, high-performing HR team that builds things together. Your work will touch every single employee at Alarm.com.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p><strong>Set the Strategy</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and continuously improve Alarm.com's Total Rewards philosophy — making sure our programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with where the business is headed</li> <li>Be the go-to expert for HR Business Partners, Finance, and senior leadership on all things compensation,&nbsp;benefits, and well-being</li> <li>Build multi-year Total Rewards roadmaps with the VP of HR that support company growth and culture</li> <li>Represent Total Rewards in big-picture initiatives like M&amp;A, system implementations, and organizational change</li> </ul> <p><strong>Lead on Compensation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic direction for our compensation framework — salary structures, pay bands, and incentive programs — while partnering closely with a Senior Compensation Analyst who handles the detailed execution</li> <li>Guide annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) and ensure strong alignment between HR and Finance</li> <li>Use market benchmarking data (tools like Radford) to keep our pay competitive and our approach grounded in data</li> <li>Weigh in on high-stakes compensation decisions — senior hires, promotions, equity adjustments — ensuring fairness and consistency</li> <li>Keep our programs compliant with regulations like FLSA and pay transparency laws</li> </ul> <p><strong>Drive&nbsp;Benefits&nbsp;&amp; Well-Being</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee all employee benefit programs — medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, disability, and more</li> <li>Lead the annual&nbsp;benefits&nbsp;renewal and open enrollment process, including financial modeling, vendor negotiations, and presenting recommendations to leadership</li> <li>Build communication strategies that help employees actually understand and use their&nbsp;benefits</li> <li>Manage vendor and broker relationships, holding partners accountable to performance standards</li> <li>Champion well-being initiatives that support employees physically, mentally, financially, and socially</li> <li>Oversee a complex leave of absence program spanning 39 U.S. states and Canada</li> </ul> <p><strong>Use Data to Drive Decisions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build out a Total Rewards analytics function that measures what's working, models financial scenarios, and informs strategy</li> <li>Stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes, bringing fresh ideas to the table</li> <li>Leverage Workday HCM and AI-powered tools to streamline processes and improve the employee experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Develop Your Team</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead, coach, and grow a team of&nbsp;benefits&nbsp;and compensation professionals</li> <li>Set clear goals and create real development opportunities — stretch assignments, career pathing, and ongoing feedback</li> <li>Partner with HR leadership on hiring and resource planning to scale the team alongside the business</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>What We're Looking For</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Must-Haves</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of Total Rewards experience with strong expertise in both compensation and&nbsp;benefits</li> <li>6+ years leading or managing teams, with a track record of developing talent</li> <li>Hands-on experience managing a self-funded medical/Rx plan, including financial modeling</li> <li>Experience building or significantly evolving compensation frameworks — job architecture, salary structures, incentive design</li> <li>Solid knowledge of key regulations: ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FLSA, and pay equity laws</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency; comfortable turning complex data into clear recommendations for senior audiences</li> <li>A bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Haves</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with compensation survey platforms like Radford, Mercer, or WTW</li> <li>Workday HCM experience, especially Workday&nbsp;Benefits&nbsp;or Advanced Compensation</li> <li>Exposure to Total Rewards work in M&amp;A or major organizational transformation</li> <li>CEBS, CCP, or CBP certification</li> </ul> <p>Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this…
