Our team manages financial planning, accounting, pricing, vendor management, tax, investor relations, and corporate development. We deliver timely insights, accurate reporting, and careful analysis to support decision-making. From day-to-day financial operations to major investments, we enable sustainable, informed growth by maintaining strong fiscal discipline.
About the team
We are seeking a strategic and analytical finance leader to join the Strategic Finance team and support the growth of Affirm’s Consumer business, which includes the Affirm Card, App and Marketplace, and other consumer-facing features. The role will partner with key stakeholders to directly influence revenue, unit economics, and user growth within the Consumer business—one of Affirm’s highest-priority investment areas—while elevating Strategic Finance’s impact in senior-level decision-making.
Strategic Finance plays a central role in shaping company strategy, enabling executive decision-making, and driving performance against key objectives. This role sits within the Revenue Finance group—a high-impact, lean team with significant cross-functional ownership. As a Senior Manager, you will operate as a thought partner to senior leadership, owning critical workstreams across planning, forecasting, and performance management. You will drive clarity in ambiguous situations, influence key decisions, and help scale the business efficiently and profitably.
What you'll do
•
Serve as a strategic finance partner to Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue, and Merchant Pricing, influencing product strategy, investment decisions, and go-to-market execution

Own and evolve user growth, engagement, and monetization models for direct-to-consumer channels; translate insights into actionable strategies and business recommendations

Develop deep expertise in transactional unit economics and customer lifetime value (LTV), and use these frameworks to guide prioritization and resource allocation
•
Lead top-line planning processes, including target setting, forecasting, and performance tracking; deliver clear, concise reporting and insights to executives and senior leadership
•
Build and scale automated dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks to improve visibility and decision-making across the organization
•
Identify key drivers of performance, surface risks and opportunities, and drive accountability against business goals
•
Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions and align cross-functional stakeholders
What we look for
•
Proven ability to operate with ownership and influence in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•
10+ years of experience in analytical roles (e.g., strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, or analytics), with demonstrated impact on business outcomes and forecasting
•
Player–coach mindset with the ability to dive into complex analyses while leading and developing a team of analysts
•
Strong business judgment, with the ability to connect detailed analyses to broader strategic context and executive-level decisions
•
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions across cross-functional teams
•
Expert in financial modeling; working knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma or similar) preferred
•
Nice to Have
•
Familiarity with consumer finance and/or direct-to-consumer business models and metrics preferred
•
Experience leveraging AI-driven tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to enhance analytical workflows and insight generation
•
Prior experience leading small high performing teams

Equity Grade - 10
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
