The Difference You Will Make:
In the role of Senior Manager, Airbnb Platform, Revenue Operations, the successful candidate will ensure that the proper financial processes, procedures and controls are in place to support the financial reporting and audit for Airbnb as it relates to the platform operations. This includes the development and ownership of processes and procedures, including documentation and testing, to monitor and manage the platform related accounts and entities.
The role requires a well-rounded finance expert with broad financial, accounting and operational expertise and a track record of supporting cross-functional organizations through large scale growth and transformation. Excellent communication, resource allocation and people management skills are critical, as well as the ability to influence across functions and levels of leadership. In this role you will manage a multitude of high value accounts and will be required to balance the rapidly growing needs of the organization with finance and compliance objectives. The position reports to the Director, Platform Controlling.

A Typical Day:
• Partner closely with finance teams to identify, assess and articulate the financial impact(s) of business changes.
• Improve visibility for finance leadership into platform accounts and initiatives.
• Partner with the platform SOX team to ensure risk identification and control mitigations are appropriate - design, implement, document and review controls to ensure they are functioning properly.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders in payments, compliance, legal and other partner and finance teams on the importance of engaging with Platform Controlling.
• Lead the Revenue Operations team, and ensure all processes meet the close deadline.
• Teach and mentor staff in accounting and finance on issues, including revenue technical accounting, GAAP guidance and best practices for documentation, partner engagement and operational processes.
• Subject matter expert that partners seek out for guidance and insight.
• Key areas of ownership - Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Bad Debt, Gift Card program and Collections.
Your Expertise:
• 12+ years of finance and accounting experience, including management level experience in a large multinational organization.
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience (tech, payments, marketplace(s), hospitality) in a high growth environment.
• CPA or equivalent international certification, with Big 4 accounting firm experience, a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP. Proven track record of operationalizing technical accounting standards to satisfy business requirements.
• Experience with large-scale ERP (Oracle, SAP, Workday), monetization and billing systems. Payments compliance and reconciliation system experience is a plus.
• Polished communication skills and executive presence. Capable of translating complex business matters across functions and levels of leadership in a clear and concise manner.
• Aptitude for collaboration and the ability to influence, mentor, and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives.
• Proven ability to successfully manage complex initiatives with cross-functional ownership.
• Champion the team's AI enablement agenda by identifying, piloting, and scaling AI use cases across close, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
