What We Are Looking For:
The Business Partner is a strategic advisor to our International and Leadership teams, driving alignment between business priorities and people strategy. This role partners closely with the People Services team to design and deliver impactful people initiatives and engagement programs that enable employees and teams to perform at their best.
The Business Partner plays a key role in workforce planning and talent strategy, with hands-on involvement in recruitment and in guiding managers through the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to onboarding and development. A core part of the role is to coach and support leaders, strengthening their capability to lead high-performing teams through both strategic insight and practical, day-to-day guidance across a broad range of people topics.
A strong understanding of compensation, career development frameworks, and salary administration is essential to ensure consistent and competitive practices. The role requires a high-energy, hands-on individual who brings creativity, sound judgment, and the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
In addition, the Business Partner (International) supports global employment programs and ensures compliance with regional legislation and company standards, including Health & Safety and Compliance. This includes monitoring evolving regulatory requirements and partnering with the Payroll team to ensure alignment and effective implementation across regions.
What You'll Do:
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with leaders and teams, with a focus on Bandwidth International locations, acting as a strategic advisor to enhance organizational effectiveness and business outcomes. Serve as a key liaison between the business and People Services to ensure alignment and impact.
• Drive and support strategic people initiatives including workforce planning, talent management, performance management, and organizational design. Partner with leadership on long-term people development, department planning, and staffing strategies to ensure sustainable team performance.
• Coach and influence managers to strengthen leadership capability, supporting them in employee development, performance management, and decision-making. Partner with other Business Partners to design and deliver leadership development initiatives across the organization.
• Proactively assess business needs and ensure effective delivery of People programs by aligning with business priorities and coordinating with People Services functional teams across regions.
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and the consistent application of People policies, procedures, and practices. Support fair, compliant, and timely resolution of employee issues.
• Ensure full compliance with local and EU employment legislation and company policies, including Health & Safety requirements. Act as co-Prevention Advisor for the Brussels office and serve as Secretary for the Brussels Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPT), ensuring proper documentation and governance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment across the region by promoting and organizing company engagement initiatives and cultural programs.
What You Need:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar
• Experience:
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role, preferably in an international or multi-country environment
• Knowledge:
• Broad and deep HR expertise across core disciplines including employee relations, change management, organizational development, coaching, and compensation/career frameworks
• Experience operating in a cross-functional, international environment, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g. Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition) and navigating diverse employment laws and cultural contexts
• Strong understanding of EU and regional employment laws; experience engaging with employee representative bodies (e.g. works councils, CPPT) is a plus
