About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a team that maintains and evolves mission-critical integration services. The stack is Java + Spring Boot, with REST integrations to third-party APIs, with a focus on both new features and the quality and maintainability of the system in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java (17) / Spring Boot.

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs, including model mapping, contract versioning, and deserialization.

• Write unit and integration tests and maintain solid test coverage.

• Work on error handling, structured logging, and observability.

• Participate in code reviews and propose architecture and quality improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs.

• Experience integrating third-party services.

• Testing discipline: JUnit, integration tests, CI management.

• Proficiency with Gradle (or Maven), Git, and working in large codebases.
