ABOUT JIMDO
We exist to unleash the power of the self-employed - helping solopreneurs and micro-businesses thrive by doing what they're passionate about and removing the complexity of building lasting, successful businesses.
Jimdo started in 2007 when three school friends built a website builder in a Northern German farmhouse to help everyone build a presence online. Today, we're a profitable, remote-first company with 220+ people from 50+ nationalities working across 15+ countries. We've helped build over 36 million websites to get online across the world.
We're more than just a website builder. We're an AI-powered platform that helps self-employed people actually run and build successful businesses — from getting found online, winning customers and running their business with a peace of mind by knowing exactly what to do next to move forward.
At the heart of Jimdo is a strong belief in personalized, data-driven guidance. Our platform combines design, business tools, and an AI-powered core that turns real customer data into clear insights and next steps helping our customers focus on what moves their business forward.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
🚀 Ready to shape the future of people, performance, and culture in a global remote-first company?
At Jimdo, we're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior People Business Partner who thrives at the intersection of business performance, talent development, organizational design, and culture. This is a unique opportunity to influence company-wide people strategy while partnering closely with leaders across Europe and beyond.
As our Senior People Business Partner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping align people strategies with business goals while fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture. In addition, you'll lead our recruitment function & team, ensuring we continue to attract, hire, and develop exceptional talent. This role reports directly to the Global Head of People and offers a clear pathway to broader leadership opportunities within the People function.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Partner with business leaders to develop and execute strategic people plans aligned with company objectives.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Coach leaders on performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee relations, and team effectiveness.
- Build and nurture a high-performance culture through robust feedback, development, and performance practices.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment strategy and hiring process, partnering with leaders to attract, assess, and hire top talent across the business.
- Lead, coach, and develop members of the Talent Acquisition Team, fostering collaboration, capability growth, and high performance.
- Lead engagement and retention initiatives that improve employee experience and strengthen company culture.
- Use people analytics and HR data to identify trends, solve business challenges, and shape people strategy.
- Champion organizational development initiatives, including capability building, leadership development, change management, and growth frameworks.
- Leverage AI and innovative HR practices to improve productivity, decision-making, and employee outcomes.
- Act as a strategic thought partner during periods of transformation, growth, and organizational change.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Must-Haves
- 5–8+ years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or People Partner experience.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Experience supporting fast-paced SaaS, technology, startup, or scale-up environments.
- Strong expertise in organizational development, talent management, succession planning, and leadership coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate business strategy into people initiatives.
- Experience using HR metrics, workforce analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven track record of leveraging AI and technology to improve HR processes and outcomes.
