Learn more at postman.com or connect with Postman on X via @getpostman.</p> <p>P.S: We highly recommend reading <a href="https://api-first-world.com/">The "API-First World" graphic novel</a> to understand the bigger picture and our vision at Postman.</p></div><h2><strong>The Opportunity </strong></h2> <p>The Customer Journey team at Postman is responsible for shaping how users experience the product from their first interaction through to becoming active, engaged customers. </p> <p>We own the critical paths between sign-up and purchase including new user onboarding and the moments where users discover and adopt key features. As Postman expands what it means to be a customer, from enterprise organizations to teams of engineers to individual developers working with AI agents, this team plays a central role in defining and evolving those experiences. </p> <p>We’re looking for a Senior Engineer who is excited to build and improve product journeys end-to-end. You’ll work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering to create intuitive, high-quality experiences that help users find value in Postman—whether they’re exploring on their own or collaborating as part of a team.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do </strong></h2> <ul> <li>Own and improve key product journeys from sign-up through onboarding, feature discovery, and purchase </li> <li>Build and refine user experiences that help developers and teams quickly understand and realize the value of Postman </li> <li>Design and implement features that drive adoption of core platform capabilities across different user types (individuals, teams, and AI-assisted workflows) </li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data to identify opportunities and prioritize improvements across the user journey </li> <li>Use experimentation and analytics to inform decisions and validate the impact of changes </li> <li>Develop a deep understanding of how developers use Postman—individually and collaboratively—and apply those insights to improve the product </li> <li>Iterate quickly, delivering thoughtful, incremental improvements that compound over time</li> <li>Contribute to the evolution of our onboarding and discovery systems as the product and customer base continue to grow </li> </ul> <h2><strong>About You </strong></h2> <p><strong>Must have:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience building frontend or full-stack applications with a focus on product and user experience </li> <li>Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; experience with modern frameworks like React or Next.js</li> <li>Track record of building and improving product experiences that drive user engagement and adoption </li> <li>Experience using data, analytics, or experimentation to guide product decisions</li> <li>Strong product sense and attention to detail—you care deeply about how things work and feel </li> <li>Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problem spaces and drive them to clear outcomes </li> <li>Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across functions</li> <li>Curiosity about how developers work, and a desire to build tools that make them more effective </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with full-stack JavaScript / TypeScript </li> <li>Experience with state management tools like MobX </li> <li>Experience working on B2B products, developer tools, or AI-powered experiences</li> <li>Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment </li> </ul> <p>This role is based in the greater San Francisco area, and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $210,000 to $240,000 plus a competitive equity package.
