Job Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Professional Engineer (licensed in Korea) to join our team in Seoul, South Korea.

In this role, you will lead and oversee fire protection and life safety design and consulting services for a wide range of building and plant projects within Korea, with opportunities to participate in overseas projects when required.

You will also be responsible for code consulting and performance-based design (including egress and fire simulations), as well as fire protection system design and technical reviews in accordance with relevant local regulations and international standards.

In addition, you will take a leading role in technical coordination and meetings with key stakeholders such as clients, architects, engineering firms, and contractors, and support permitting and various authority review processes.

Responsibilities:

• Fire protection and life safety design, as well as technical consulting, for building and plant projects in Korea

• Code review and technical advisory services based on relevant laws and regulations, including Korean fire codes and performance-based design guidelines, as well as applicable international standards

• Performance-based design, including egress and fire simulations, analysis of results, and preparation of technical reports

• Technical coordination with key stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and construction supervisors, as needed

• Preparation and submission of documentation for permits, preliminary reviews, and various authority approvals and committee reviews

Qualifications:

• Licensed Fire Protection Professional Engineer (Korea Fire Protection P.E. license required)

• 226, Gasan Digital 1-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul (Gasan-dong). Located within 500m of Gasan Digital Complex Station (Seoul Subway Line 1)

• Employment Type: Permanent

• Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Work Location: 226, Gasan Digital 1-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul (Gasan-dong), within 500m of Gasan Digital Complex Station
